First, click here to check out our Recruiting and Retention website....then look through this: If this is all cool with you, then..... The best way to learn more about CAP is to attend a meeting. You’ll have a chance to see how meetings are run and what types of activities are available. You should visit all the squadrons that are convenient to you. Each squadron has a different leadership, culture and volunteer opportunities. Goddard Cadet Squadron is different from other units. Each unit has their own niche, visit a few local units and find the one that fits you best! This also allows the squadron commander and cadet staff to meet with each prospective member and get a feel for them. You, in turn, get to get a feel for the unit. This helps to provide information about the program and find if our unit is a good fit for you. You are required to attend at least 3 meetings before you can apply for membership. **NOTE - CAP membership is a privilege and not a right. The Commander may accept or deny an application for any reason provided civil rights are not violated. CAP is a unique program and while most will fit in, not every person is right for our unit.
Step 2. Membership Application Your local CAP squadron should provide you with a membership application, fingerprint card (for adults), inform you of the amount of annual dues, and if they require any squadron dues. Cadets can now apply online - ask your local squadron for more information. Download the membership applications here: SENIOR CADET Annual membership dues vary by state. You can view the membership dues table here. Incorrect dues will delay the processing of your membership. Applications without the squadrons commander's signature will not be processed. So make sure you have it!
The member will receive an automated welcome email when the membership is processed. Additional information for current USAF Airmen: Civil Air Patrol Reserve Assistance Program (CAPRAP) In accordance with CAPR 36-1, a copy of the following letter should be posted at every unit location or made available to all members in the unit.
